INSTAL
Performing a new iteration of solo work “tender .5” (2021)INSTAL is a multi-room installation performance produced by BODYSONNET and features the work of Mio Ishikawa, Olga Rabetskaya, Gabe Katz, Kevin Pajarillaga, Amari Frazier, Colin Frederick, and Moscelyne ParkeHarrison. Half of the performance will be set in CPR’s Small Studio, while the other will take place in CPR’s Large Studio. With works in each room happening simultaneously, the audience will experience both installation performances over the course of an hour, with each half of the audience switching spaces half-way through. In the fall semester of 2021, Gabe began the process for his new work entitled tender, with 10 BFA first year students at his alma mater, Marymount Manhattan College. This commission is in collaboration with New York based pianist and composer, Lucy Yao, and assisted by New York based dancer Taylor Woodie.
